Pocktoberfest 2021 was hailed a big success as an appreciative audience enjoyed a top programme of live music, backed up by a wide range of food and drink.
After missing out last year, the longstanding beer and music came back with a bang on Saturday, with this year's event voted the best yet since moving to Pocklington rugby club in 2014.
Pocklington's Renegades Ukulele Band gave it a great start, Mat Howlett and the Habitual Drunkards maintained the top entertainment, and headline act, The Mothers, gave the night a rocking finish.
Alongside, the 20 plus casks of beer from breweries near and far were emptied one by one and the day progressed. Pocklington RUFC club captain, Micky Beard, who managed the music lineup in addition to performing a set of his own and overseeing the Bavarian fancy dress interlude, summed it up, saying:
"I thought the event was a great success and cracking day and night, and thanks to all those who worked so hard to put it on, overall Pocktoberfest 2021 was superb."
