Saturday
Pocklington first team face their longest trip of the campaign on Saturday when they head to deepest Northumberland to face Morpeth in North 1 East. The club entrance is being resurfaced, there is a temporary entrance for motor vehicles but it will not accommodate a bus, so the bus for Morpeth for players and supporters leaves outside Burnby Hall at 10.00 am wiuth a stop along the way.
Morpeth are always strong at home, but the two clubs have produced numerous close encounters over the years; none closer than when they met at Pocklington in mid November - Morpeth stealing it 19-17 when they landed a monster stoppage-time penalty from inside their own half with the last kick of the day.
The Morpeth trip is the start of a testing run in to the league season for Pocklington. The following week (12 March) they are at home to table topping Ilkley, and four of their last five fixtures are against the division's top five teams.
Back at Percy Road, its third v second in the Eastern Merit League as Pocklington Panthers host Marist at 3.00 pm (kick offs have now returned to 3.00 pm for the remainder of the season), while the Pilgrims go to Driffield.
