Pocklington RUFCs planned big start to the North 1 East season at Percy Road last Saturday turned into a damp squib when their opponents, Bradford & Bingley, were unable to raise a side.
This weekend Pocklington travel to another of Yorkshire's former leading sides, Morley, kick off 3.00pm at the south Leeds Scatcherd Lane ground, bus for players and supporters 12.15pm. There is no rugby at Percy Road on Saturday, but there is a busy day of junior rugby at home on Sunday. Pocklington U12s host Beverley at 10.30 am, the U14s play Driffield at 11.00 am and they are followed on the front pitch by the Colts against York at 1.00 pm.
The rst of the minis and junior programme on Sunday sees all the Minis training (U6s-U11s @ Kilnwick). the U13s are training at the Club, and the U15s are away at Driffield.
Bradford & Bingley's cancellation last week saw league officials considered various outcomes, Pocklington offered to play the game as a friendly and lend their opponents props, but the eventual decision was to void the game and award Pocklington five points.
