Though there are no home games on Saturday, it's still a big weekend for Pocklington RUFC, with plenty of action at Percy Road on Sunday morning.

On Saturday Pocklington 1st XV are scheduled to play their outstanding league game at Harrogate. Harrogate have a junior festival earlier in the afternoon at their club, so the game is being played at Harrogate Army Foundation College, Uniacke Barracks, Penny Pot Ln, Killinghall, Harrogate HG3 2RU

The championship winning Panthers also have one competitive game to go and have a tough challenge as they go to third in the table Pontefract.

On Sunday morning the Under 14s are in action against touring opposition, while the mini rugby sides hold their annual awards day. The Colts go to Scunthorpe, the side they pipped for the Yorkshire Colts league championship, looking to complete an unbeaten league campaign.

Next Friday evening, 4 May, it's Pocklington RUFC's annual dinner and awards night in the clubhouse, where all the senior teams will review their campaigns and present their individual awards, along with the announcement of the major club accolades - the clubman of the year and the team of the year.

Tickets, £15, are available from Mark Biggin, tel: 07919 880468, or places can be booked via Dave Birch or team captains.
