When pre-season training starts on Tuesday (7 July) at Kilnwick Park, everyone will need to bring their own water supply.
RFU guidlines will be in place for players and equipment, with people divided into socially distanced 'pods' of six working on skills and conditioning, with no physical contact. Everyone is welcome from firsts to thirds, established or newcomers, retired or non players looking for more exercise, and juniors aged 16 upwards who will be in the Colts grouping in 2020-21. Sessions are every Tuesday and Thursday evening meeting at 6.30pm.
News of one of the club's 'senior citizens', Mike Blackburn. Blackers, now in his eighties, had his right leg amputated below the knee a week ago. The operation went well, he is in positive spirits and hopes to be moving soon to nearer home from Hull Royal Infirmary. Micky Beard has been in regular touch with Blackers and his family and reports that he's admitted to finally hanging up his kicking boots, but is looking forward to getting down to Pock as soon as rugby resumes.
Though he's not the best at keeping his phone charged, he would be happy to receive calls from any of his mates at the club on 07776 311890.
