Pocklington break new ground on Saturday when they travel to Teeside to play Billingham.
Pocklington and Billingham have had an odd encounter between their junior teams in recent years but have never met at 1st XV level. But there is a notable connection between the clubs - Mark Armstrong began his rugby career at Pocklington and has gone on to become Billingham chairman for the past 15 years. It has always been his dream to see his first and current club in action and he is hosting any of his former colleagues for lunch before the game. Bus is at 11.00 am.
Pocklington face another tough test as Billingham currently sit in fifth place in the North Premier table and have had some big wins on their plastic 3G pitch, which virtually ensures the game will be on whatever the weather. Bus time 11.00 am.
Back at Percy Road the Panthers host the team directly above them in the table, Sandal, while thye Pilgrims are at home to Bridlington (2.15). Wales v South Africa is also on TV in the clubhouse.
On Sunday the U14s and U16s are scheduled to be at home to Hull Ionians (11.00), the Colts, who had a walkover last Sunday when Driffield were unable to raise a side, have another blank day.
Next Saturday (9 December) is the Vice-President's Lunch at 12.15pm, 15 pounds including entrance & programme, contact Angus Mitchell to book a place.
