Pocklington rugby club is inviting youngsters to enjoy two days of rugby fun and skill at its annual Rugby Summer School next week.

The popular summer school will be from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday 15/16 August. The event has been a key part of the summer holiday programme for several years, and provides two days of fun activities at Percy Road to give both newcomers a taster for the game and also build the skills of established players.

The event is run by a team of qualified coaches and assistants that includes coaches from the club's youth section plus senior players, and is led by the club's Youth Development Coach, Ben Rees.

The summer school is aimed at ages 7 - 14 and costs £50 for both days, or £35 for one day. Participants will need boots and trainers, gum shield and any other protective clothing they usually wear, plus a packed lunch and drinks.

Anyone is welcome, including youngsters who are already members of local clubs and those who have never played the game but want to give rugby a try for the first time.

To book places or for further details please contact junior chairman, Dan Boddy, email: pockmjchair@outlook.com, for an application form, individuals will also be able to register on the day.
