The funeral details for Billy and Malcolm are:
Billy Hardy's funeral will be at All Saints church, Pocklington, at 11.30am on Friday 17 January and afterwards at Pocklington RUFC. The family has asked that black is not worn. As a further mark of respect the first team league game the following day has been postponed at the request of the players. The Pocklington v Durham City fixture is now rescheduled for Saturday 22 February.
Malcolm Milne's funeral is on Wednesday 22 January at 11.30 am at Octon. Malcolm's wish was for no black ties.
The club has also lost another valued friend in Dr Mike Dunham who died on New Year's Day. Mike was a Pocklington GP for over 30 years, but became a familiar figure on the touchline at Percy Road throughout the 1980s and 90s, always with his stitching gear in his pocket and ready and able to put split Pocklington players back together and get them back out on the pitch. His voluntary needlework at Pocklington saw him go on to be something of a specialist in emergency rugby medicine, becoming the team doctor for Hull FC and England RL internationals, and performing a similar role for Yorkshire Terriers rugby union.
