Pocklington play their final league game of a roller coaster 2017 when they head up the A1079 to meet Hull at Chanterlands Avenue on Saturday.

Semi-pro Hull are currently in third place, and with their game at Kirkby Lonsdale frozen off last Saturday, Hull director of rugby and former dual code Welsh international, Gary Pearce, who spent a decade as Pocklington's player-coach 1990-2000, was on a spying mission at Kilnwick Park to run the rule over his old club. In the other direction Mat Webber and Ben Thoy both played at Hull.

The bus for Hull leaves Percy Road at 11.30, supporters welcome.

The Panthers go to Scunthorpe, while the Pilgrims scheduled home game fell through as Hull have disbanded their seconds. The 1st XV game at Hull is also being broadcast on Estuary TV, and the club is hoping to get it televised live in the Percy Road clubhoouse on the big screen.

On Sunday the Under 14s are at home to Driffield (ko 11.00 am).
